16/24-bit PCM conversions preserve sample values when keeping bit depth. 32-bit float input is converted to 24-bit integer PCM. Reducing bit depth uses rounding without dither. MP3 is lossy; converting MP3 to a lossless format cannot restore discarded audio. Tags, artwork, markers and other metadata are not copied. Large files depend on available device memory. MP3 export supports mono/stereo at 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz; other rates are not silently resampled.
